Data Driven Environmental Decisions
Jamie Henderson is the founder and managing director of truGround Environmental, LLC. Mr. Henderson has 25 years of experience as a consultant in the environmental field. He has worked for both large engineering consulting firms (Dames & Moore and NewFields) and hazardous waste remedial construction companies (Williams - l/k/a WRS/Compass and USPCI - l/k/a Clean Harbors); which has in turn allowed for a diverse and tacit experience base of both core field construction expertise and high-end technical data analysis.

His work in the use of GIS techniques for the communication of environmental data has been recognized and cited by the US EPA as an innovative approach for RCRA Corrective Actions.
In addition to his technical accomplishments, Mr. Henderson has been a community leader throughout his career and has served on the board of directors for a variety of non-profits including GreenLaw, Optimist International, Samaritan House, and Theatrical Outfit. He currently is serving on the board of directors of the Turner Environmental Law Clinic and is current Chair of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership. Moreover, he has received the City of Atlanta’s Phoenix Award for his pro bono service in the data driven regulation and management of personal care and homeless shelters in Atlanta. During his work with the City of Atlanta, he co-authored the revisions of several zoning ordinances concerning the siting and clustering of personal care homes/shelters.
